Have you ever suffered from how you windows is running slow, how it is taking for ever to boot up?.
Well here is a quick fix for that, its a magic tool created by Microsoft, its called MSCONFIG.
Most people know that the more programs you have running on your computer at once, the more likely it is that your computer will either run slowly or even crash. What most people don't know is that every time you boot your computer a whole mess of "hidden" programs load in the background. Some of these hidden programs are essential, but most aren't. Turning off some of these hidden programs can significantly increase your computer's performance and reliability.
It is really useful if you want to control what is running when your PC starts, and its always has a good boost on your windows speed.
To use msconfig it you will need to:
1-Go to Start --> Run
2-Type in the Run Box msconfig
3- Click on the "Start up" tab
Now here comes the magic, as you do have control over what is running when the windows starts up, un-checking the check box means the program will not start when the windows boots up. Once you done, and click OK or Apply, msconfig will ask you to re-start your windows.
And the same can be implemented from the "Services" tab, the services tab in msconfig will list all of the Services on your windows machine, you can stop i do use it alot to trouble shoot windows problems (etc: viruses, spywares, system carsh...).
